SANJUKS Type-R · Rubber Grommet Lever
Grommet return on a V3-based design.
A Nobi-style grip to complete the feel.
Options — Choose a Metal Red, Metal Gold, or Metal Violet body. All versions have a black Nobi-style grip.
Standard / Optional — A rounded-square gate is pre-installed. The Type-R gate set is sold separately.
Installation / Wiring — Check the mounting holes, internal clearance, and wiring. The lever uses an 8-pin connection to the individual switch terminals.
01 · SANJUKS TYPE-R
The SANJUKS Type-R is based on the V3, with a Samducksa 15-tension grommet replacing the spring. It combines a flat collar, an acetal Nobi-style grip, and a rounded-square gate to deliver a rubber-grommet-based feel.
The V3 spring mechanism has been replaced with a Samducksa 15-tension grommet. The grommet provides resistance as you move the lever and helps return it to neutral when released.
The housing uses AL6061 aluminum alloy with an anodized finish. Choose from Metal Red, Metal Gold, or Metal Violet.
The lever uses a precision CNC-machined black acetal Nobi-style grip, with a rounded top and a tapered lower section. The shaft uses hard-anodized aluminum.
02 · SANJUKS TYPE-R
Choose the body color to suit your arcade stick. All versions use the same black Nobi-style grip; body color is the selectable option.
The photos show assembled examples of each color. One lever in your selected body color is supplied, not a set of three. Actual colors may vary with lighting and display settings.
03 · SANJUKS TYPE-R
A rounded-square gate is pre-installed on the Type-R. This shape combines circular and square gate characteristics, with a rounded travel boundary and defined corners.
The gate defines the lever’s range of movement. The Type-R’s standard rounded-square shape is visible in the inner opening of the black gate mounted underneath the lever.
A circular / square / octagonal gate set is available separately for changing the feel of the travel boundary. It is not included with the lever. Add the Type-R gate set to your purchase if required.
A continuous circular inner boundary.
A travel boundary defined by four corners.
An inner boundary divided into eight sides.
Gate names describe the shape of the travel boundary. “Square” and “octagonal” do not mean that the lever’s input directions are restricted. Check that replacement gates are specifically compatible with the Type-R.
04 · SANJUKS TYPE-R
The Type-R uses a flat design with no raised collar and a stainless steel mounting plate. It can be considered for JLF-style mounting, but check the mounting-hole positions and internal clearance before installation.

This list is based on the mounting information on the existing product page. Later generations with the same name, or products with modified panels or internal layouts, may have different installation requirements.
The lever uses a Type-R-specific stainless steel mounting plate. The drawing shows overall dimensions of approximately 97 × 58 mm. Compare the mounting positions of your existing lever and case.
The product page lists a body height of approximately 39.5 mm, excluding the grip, shaft, and collar. The listed measurement may vary by 2–3 mm. Allow extra clearance so the lower actuator, switch terminals, and wiring do not touch the case bottom.
The Type-R uses an 8-pin connection to the individual microswitch terminals. If your existing arcade stick uses a 5-pin connector, you may need a 5-pin-to-8-pin conversion harness that matches the PCB pinout and terminal size.

06 · SANJUKS TYPE-R
The product page describes the Type-R’s tension as Soft. This is a subjective rating; the feel may differ depending on your previous lever and how you hold the grip.
A black dust washer covers the area around the shaft. Check that it is not pinched against the panel or interfering with other parts, and remove dust from the surrounding area with a soft cloth.
Check that replacement parts are compatible with the Type-R. The combination of grommet, gate, and actuator can change the travel range and input feel.
Bending the switch levers or modifying the gate or actuator can change input behavior. If something feels wrong, check assembly and clearance before modifying any parts.

STEP 01
Disconnect power before opening the case. Before removing the existing lever, photograph the directional and common-wire connections for reference during assembly.
STEP 02
Align the mounting-plate holes and install the lever. Check that the shaft, dust washer, lower actuator, switch terminals, and wiring do not interfere with the panel or case bottom.
STEP 03
Connect the wiring according to the PCB pinout and check that all terminals are secure. If the existing wiring uses a 5-pin connector, use a compatible conversion harness.
STEP 04
Before closing the case, use an input-test screen to check up, down, left, right, and all four diagonals. Also check that the lever returns to neutral when released and that no directional input remains active.
